I just love elegant, intimate weddings. And this modern industrial warehouse wedding for my dear friend Margaret (the owner of Leaf + Petal and House of Modern Vintage) was the epitome of intimate and beautiful. As a floral designer, Margaret knew she wanted flowers everywhere. But I think what made everything look so incredible was the juxtaposition of these elegant floral arrangements with an amazing industrial warehouse venue (owned by Lauren of Lovegood Rentals).
Margaret said, “When walking in the space, I immediately knew what I wanted to do. Since it’s a basic warehouse aesthetic, I wanted the flowers to look like they were growing form the walls and courtyard. A little more natural, garden style.” And did she pull to off?!
We had so much fun planning and designing for the 40-person guest list. From the long, elegant tables to the mismatched vintage tableware and place settings and all of the romantic floral arrangements, it unfolded beautifully. See the photos by Lance Nicoll below!
Margaret and Reese are a really close couple, they even spent the morning of their wedding getting dressed together. Margaret said “he calms me down“.
Some of my favorite details are Margaret’s mini wedding dress and her hot pink Gucci heels, which she swapped for Gucci GG Floral Espadrille, later in the evening.
My absolute favorite part of the wedding? Watching my friend on such a happy day surrounded by her closest friends and family. Because it was such a small and intimate wedding, that made the timeline easy. In fact the entire day just felt like one amazing day of quality time hanging with my favorite gal pals doing what we all love events.
