A Lisa Frank Wedding Style Shoot
We had so much fun with this Lisa Frank wedding style shoot concept. It was a real design evolution and true collaboration and it all started with Lauren from Lovegood Wedding & Event Rentals. She had seen an Instagram story of a rainbow carnation posted by Margaret of Leaf + Petal NOLA. Inspired by all the colors, Lauren was inspired to do a photo shoot with it. We love working together so it was only natural that we would create the styled shoot together.
Originally it started out as a rainbow Valentine’s Day theme but as the details came together, it just started to feel more whimsical and playful (enter the Lisa Frank wedding style theme!). Lauren started with a design concept full of brights and pastel colors, a rainbow backdrop and lots of fun furniture pieces. Then, Margaret from Leaf + Petal NOLA created these amazing color-blocked florals.
(By the way, we did Margaret’s gorgeous wedding too!) The arrangements really popped and brought it all together–from the lounge space area, tablescape, ceremony design, and bar area.

One of my favorite parts was that dress: I linked to it in the section below but there’s actually a funny story about it. Margaret, the floral designer owned that dress. She had bought it for a Christmas party. And even thought her husband may have been averse to her wearing it, we were SO glad she had it in her closet. That dress was like the missing puzzle piece to this Lisa Frank wedding style shoot!
