I loved everything about this Moroccan style wedding shoot. Traveling is one of the things that I have missed the most during Covid. While I cannot physically travel internationally, often I travel in my mind. My mental travels led me to Morocco and was the inspiration behind creating this Moroccan style wedding shoot. A place where vibrant hues, merchant carts dressed in flowers and vintage areas rugs gives you the feeling that you have quietly slipped into old Morocco.
Tassel and a moroccan merchant cart were the first pieces of inspiration, the remaining details unfolded effortlessly. Adding vibrant hues was a must for our Moroccan Market inspired wedding.
To pull it all together, I reached out to some of my favorite friend-ors and without hesitation we were all aboard the imaginary train to Morocco. Lauren of Lovegood Wedding and Event Rentals immediately put together a mood board of vintage furniture pieces that would work best with the design. Together we went through all the details and finalized a design that was fun, fresh and like nothing I have ever seen before in the space.
Finding a venue for a Moroccan style wedding shoot was easy. I have always loved Il Mercato for its old world charm and thought it would be the perfect backdrop for this color design. The courtyard space felt right giving an authentic old world feel to the design.
To see it all come together on the day of was amazing! Mo Davis Photography and Eskimo Love Stories documented this shoot far better than I could have ever imagined.
Now step inside an old world romance adorned in Moroccan decor…
The secret to pulling off this look is in the details–and in this case, the rentals. The juxtaposition of bamboo chairs, tassel umbrellas and assorted area rugs mixed in with the gold table, soft seating lounges, colorful poufs, mixed-matched assorted pillows, and wicker baskets really gave it that authentic Moroccan decor and brought the space to life.
I loved every detail of this Moroccan style wedding design but I think my favorite part of the design are those lounge vignettes nestled under the arches… I will have my cocktail right there please and thank you!
Speaking of thank you… A very special thank-you to all of the creative partners who were apart of the shoot!
