If you have never visited Nashville you will be shocked to learn of all the things you can do and of the Fairlane Hotel, a boutique hotel in Downtown Nashville. Mo of Mo Davis Photographer and I, Michelle of Michelle Norwood Events decided to take a quick trip to Nashville, since the world is starting to open up again following Coronavirus shutdowns. I can not tell you how excited I was to be going to Nashville. We had no real plans, however, knew that the city could be a little let congested and that we would be able to take in the site and tour some pretty amazing properties.
As a planner I always have to have a plan, however, I must admit that being able to just pop into places was nice. And we were definitely surprised when we stumbled upon the Fairlane Hotel, a boutique hotel in Downtown Nashville, Arts District.
Privately owned and operated by Oliver Hospitality, this Fairlane Hotel Nashville is nothing short of spectacular. The lobby aesthetic, retro-modern yet timeless, as if you have stepped back into the 70’s.
The building, built in 1972 was originally the home of the Nashville Headquarters of Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan.
Kaitlyn the Sales Manager is delightful and gave us a complete and impromptu tour of the property, including the ultra luxurious Penthouse East. Penthouse Wast was occupied, so we were not able to see this space, next time…
During our tour we were able to see a Standard room, Jet Junior and the Penthouse East. If you can spring for it, Penthouse East is where it is at. 1 bedroom, two bathroom, two fire pits (indoors and outdoors) and a huge outdoor space to enjoy your morning coffee or take in the views of Nashville.
This property has guest service down to a science. Everything is upon request, they want you to feel at home and relaxed. You literally do not have to worry about anything, and their kit has everything that you need and they even deliver it to your room. Just call the front desk and they will get it to you.
Boutique and smaller hotels are definitely my preference, and the Fairlane Hotel suits me nicely. With only 8 or 9 guest rooms per floor, not only do I feel secure, I know that once it time to hit the hay, the noise level will be far less than a big box hotel. For me this property is a win, win, win!
Fairlane Hotel has 4 event spaces, let’s begin in the lobby.
Juniper Green Kitchen has a really cute and quaint intimate private event space right off the lobby.
Ellinton’s Restaurant located on the fourth floor can be reserved as a full buyout or reserved in smaller sections. From intimate dinner party for 6 in a private room with balcony access, to a full buyout Ellinton’s can fit any and all of your event needs.
The Penthouse(s), so this is where they keep the light. East and/or West or why not both?!?! As we moved on up to the 12th floor to the Penthouse and the final two event spaces. As the elevator door open you can only imagine what behind these doors, yep you guessed it nirvana! As Penthouse East doors opened I was immediately taken aback by the panoramic views of Nashville for as far as the eye can see. Stepping onto the balcony space, I was blow away to to this amount of outdoor space and the views.
Penthouse East host an amazing 1,6oo+ square feet of indoor and outdoor space, while Penthouse West can be host over 2,300 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.
I highly recommend reserving both spaces for your ultra exclusive penthouse affair overlooking Nashville’s iconic Arts District and mountain views as far as the eyes can see. That is a combined 4000 square feet of event space with the option to plug into the music system and play whatever genre makes you want to cut a rug.
How do these spaces connect?! A not so obvious hedge wall with a secret door! Yep, you heard correctly! This door opens and can be removed for guest to flow effortlessly between the spaces. You can also open the entrance doors to both Penthouses and guest can flow from space to space, mixing and mingling all night line. I know where my next event will be held in Nashville, for up to 145 of my closet friends!
Ellinton’s has the happiest hour in Nashville and is a hidden gem and a must try. I absolutely love small plates and this menu has several to choose from. Let’s not forget the cocktails. Small plates, cocktails and panoramic views of Nashville, I was in foodie heaven. If you’re a local you can enjoy this daily happy hour from 3 pm – 6 pm, but for travel lovers like myself, this was an amazing find to stumble upon and a well kept secret as this is where the locals go to get away from the SoBro crowd.
Juniper Green Kitchen and The Cheese Gal both opening in the lobby mid October are great options for those looking to grab a quick bite and hit the town. Be sure to stop in and check out what they have to offer.
Our trip to Nashville was short yet sweet. And I will definitely be staying at the Fairlane Hotel upon my return.
